In the National Assembly constituency, Muslim League (N) leader Hanif Abbasi was adjourned after the life sentence, who was participating in this election from the constituency.
The second candidate of the constituency and Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, head of the public-Muslim League, referred to the Lahore High Court against the decision of the anti-drug court, but the High Court's Rawalpindi bench dismissed his petition regarding postponement of the elections. The Election Commission's notification was maintained.
The Supreme Court of the Supreme Court also rejected the petition filed against the decision of Sheikh Rashed's Election Commission
