An Act to provide for the development of cities in the Punjab.
Act is expedient in the public interest to:
To establish a complete program of planning and development in order to enhance the standard of living in the cities of the Punjab.
Establish an incorporated advancement strategy and a continuing approach of organizing and advancement, to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
Economical and effective usage of land
Envolve policies and plans Relating to:
improvement in the environment of housing,
Industrial development, Traffic, Method of travel, Health, Education, Water supply,
Sewerage, Drainage, Solid waste disposal.
Matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.
